What a weekend of racing. We arrived at the track on Firday and unloaded and Joshua and the team was excited this is the only track in the series that Joshua has laps at.  We went out was fast but Joshua talked to the crew chief and they made a few adjustments and went out and turned some fast times.  We were ready for Saturday.  We would like to say thanks to our sponsors Generation Family Dental , Neckgen and American Natrual Premmium Dog Foods for all  of there support .  Saturday afternoon we turned some practice laps it was hot and not what we wanted made a few changes and prepared for qualifying.  Joshua went out and turned a fast lap putting us in P5.  They did an invert and put up on the outside front row for the race, it was nice to start up front but the outside at Anderson is not a great place to be.  Joshua made the best of it and it took several laps for the spotter to get him to the bottom and after 100 laps 4 cautions and  1 red flag we finished 8th. Very happy wtih this weekend. Next race in ohio looking forward to running there.

Salem Speedway

Headed to the High banks of Salem Speedway (WOW) is all I can say.  We arrived on Friday the 17th for testing and pulled into the track and was shocked by the 32 degree banking.  The track is rough but the history of the track is amazing and it was amazing to to know the drivers from all of the series who had ran at Salem.  We unloaded and our Crew Chief (Spiff) was in awe when Joshua hit the track he figured it out right away and testing went great on Friday.  At the end of the day we had a team meeting to talk about Saturdays practice and our plan.  We all agreed let hit the first 30 min session and run laps until Joshua was good with the car so we did ran about 10 laps came in and got the car cooled down and put on our Mock qualifying tires.  Joshua went out and turned a very fast lap and we were ready for qualifying.  It was time to qualify and the 30 car went out Joshua was fast and qualified 15 and we made the race and he was looking forward to the 100 lap race on the high banks of Salem Speedway.  Driver introductions and race time.  Pace car is leading the filled and Joshua is focused on the race getting started we knew it would be a long one. There were several bad crashes in the race and and Joshua was moving forward he worked his way to 6th and he knew we had a car for the top 3.  Joshua had to save tires and fuel because of the caution laps and he continued to be fast and hit his marks and ended up 9th in the race.  We are very satified with the car the team and our driver.  Next race is on July8th in birch Run MI.

Berlin Raceway

June 11th   Berlin Raceway

The team was excited we were headed to Michigan speedway and racing at Berlin Raceway so who could ask for better.  We traveled to Berlin on the 9th and participated in the rookie testing session.  Joshua was turning some fast laps and liked the track ended the day in the top 5 for speeds and was excited about practice on Friday.   We headed back to the track and practice car was awesome and our mock qualifying runwent well so we were really looking forward to out qualifying session on Saturday and the race.  Saturday was another hot one and the team was working hard to get the car set for qualifying and the balanced for the long run in the race.  Joshua qualified and missed the race by 4 one hundreds of a second so wh was in the last chance race the winner makes the show.  Joshua knew the car was fast and he felt good about the race.  What an exciting race he went out and lead the first 20 laps and the 2nd place car blew a tire and hit the wall and that brought out the yellow.  Joshua cooled his tires down and after serveral laps under caution the track was cleared and the race was ready to restart.  Joshua took off and was leading by half a track and on lap 26 another car spun and brought out the yellow again Joshua cleaned and cooled his tires,  With only 4 laps to go he was pretty excited he knew if he could continue to get great restarts he would win this and make the show.  Green Green Green on the radio he took off and going into turn one the 2nd place car a local driver took Joshua out sad but true on purpose with only 4 laps Joshua had to go to the back and the person who spun him went to the back.  Now still 4 laps to go 10 cars left in the race the green came out Joshua worked his way to 3rd in three laps just not enough time to get to the front.  Needless to say not a happy camper but very happy with the car and performance.  Next race Salem Speedway.

Columbus Speedway

Third Race of the Season Columbus Speedway in Ohio. The temp at the track was well into the 90s.  The team unloaded the car and was fast right away top three in Fridays practice and we were excited.  There were 42 cars entered so we knew qualifying in was going to be tough and the weather was changing with rain coming in.  Joshua was set to run a mock qualifying run and just as he went onto the track the rain came.  Joshua brought the car back to the trailer and was a little upset because we really didn't know what we had for qualifying since practice was canceled. Rain went away and the sun came out and qualifying began, we knew we had a fast car just not sure what we had in qualifying trim. He turned a good lap but qualified 23rd and then the rain came and the races were canceled.  See you at Berlin raceway next

As a recap our first race of the season was rained out at Springport MI, So off we traveled to I44 speedway in Missouri in the middle of May.  Joshua wa very excited he went and tested and was pretty fast and like the track. He qualified 27 out or 42 cars he wasn't happy about that but he was happy to out qualify  a lot of big name Drivers including some former NASCAR drivers.  He was in the 30 Lap challenge race and was running in the Top 10 and was caught up in an accident. But overall happy with the car and performance.

Falloween 150

Driver Joshua James moved to the late model and entered the first annual Falloween 150 at Dells Raceway Park. We unloaded Saturday and Joshua hit the track turning fast laps in the morning practice and by the afternoon he was 8th fastest on the practice chart out of 37 cars entered. We were very excited and ready for Sunday qualifying. Sunday practice we were again fast. 10th fastest on the practice chart and we knew if we could turn a 13.6 we would make the show. Joshua was ready to qualify, we went out and turned a lap of 13.62, not fast enough to make the show. The 14th qualifier turned a 13.56, but we qualified 22 out of 37, faster than NASCAR driver Travis Sauter and 14 other top-tier drivers. We had to race our way in. Joshua knew he had to be in the top 2 to move on. He started dead last with 12 cars ahead of him but worked his way to 3rd place. Joshua was turning the fastest laps but was blocked and finished 3rd. We missed the show, but we were excited for the weekend, the car was excellent, the driver was beating the best of the best and we turned laps for the first time. We look forward to the 2016 season running the CRA JEGS series.

Dells Raceway Park Win

James Racing Team had a great night of racing. We arrived at Dells Raceway Park not sure if we would race or not with the weather looking bad. Things changed fast and just like the weather we unloaded and were fast. Practice was great, Joshua was third fastest and he was happy with the truck so no changes were needed. We went out for qualifying and things did not go how we wanted. Joshua raced the first race and lead from the green. Four cautions continued to close the field and Joshua continued to have great restarts and stayed out front and won the race. This is only the second race of the season with the Midwest Truck Series. We would like to thank our sponsors for their support. Without them we could not run up front. Please take the time to visit our sponsors. Next race on the schedule for JRT is State Park Speedway. See you at the track.

James Racing Team was ready to head to Dells Raceway Park for a great weekend of racing and we couldn't go.  The Driver of the Number 30 was not feeling well. Not good but not worth taking the chance and racing and not doing well or something happening. So we will get him feeling better and prepare for our next race at Jefferson Speedway on June 6th.  See you at the track.
